This 3-day instructor-led course teaches you how to assemble and manage modular and flexible composite business applications with IBM WebSphere Business Services Fabric V6.1, WebSphere Business Services Fabric is a comprehensive service-oriented architecture (SOA) offering that extends IBM's Business Process Management (BPM) platform. Composite business applications are assembled from business services, which represent policy-driven, reusable business-level building blocks that can be customized according to business and user context. WebSphere Business Services Fabric builds upon and leverages IBM SOA Foundation products, including WebSphere Process Server, WebSphere Integration Developer, and WebSphere Services Registry and Repository. In this course, students use Business Services Composition Studio, a plug-in to WebSphere Integration Developer, to assemble business services, create business policies, and simulate dynamic assembly of business services. You will learn how to use the integrated Unit Test Environment (UTE) to execute and test business services. You also learn how to apply WebSphere Business Service Fabric's governance capabilities to manage business services subscriptions, entitlements, and configuration through all phases of the application life cycle. This course also describes how solutions can be developed using one of the Industry Content Packs for WebSphere Business Services Fabric.

Prerequisites
  Before taking this course, you should have:
 

  • Basic knowledge of SOA

  • Familiarity with the Java programming language and J2EE Web services

  • Experience with WebSphere Process Server V6 and WebSphere Integration Developer V6

 

  • Familiarity with WebSphere Services Registry and Repository V6

  • Many of these skills can be obtained by attending Integration Using IBM WebSphere Integration Developer and Process Server (WB111) or (VB111).
