IBM WebSphere Service Registry and Repository (WSRR) manages information used in the selection, invocation, and governance of services. This course enables application developers to develop and integrate services using WSRR. Students discover how WSRR enables governance in a service-oriented architecture (SOA), and follow the SOA development life cycle as enforced by WSRR. Students also learn how to design mediations to dynamically select a service based on metadata supplied by WSRR.

  • Describe the concept of SOA governance in the SOA life cycle

  • Describe the purpose and scope of WSRR

  • Find, publish, and manage service metadata using the WSRR Web interface (Web UI)

  • Implement dynamic service selection with WSRR mediation components in WESB

  • Implement dynamic service selection with WSRR mediation nodes in WMB

  • Design validation and notification plug-ins for WSRR

You should have a strong J2EE development background and familiarity with either IBM WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus (WESB) or IBM WebSphere Message Broker (WMB) development.
